DTE was commissioned to expand a telco in Somaliland network using Cisco’s NCS 2000 and NCS 5000 series. The project aimed to deliver enhanced data throughput with DWDM technology, allowing transmission speeds up to 600 Gbps.
This bandwidth upgrade is critical for the telco’s goal of providing reliable connectivity across Somaliland
We integrated dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) to achieve high-capacity data transfer over long distances. This setup involved extensive testing for signal integrity, data compression, and noise reduction to ensure peak performance across varying loads and distances.
The project resulted in a resilient network with scalable bandwidth that easily adapts to growing demands. Somcable noted improvements in data delivery speed, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, with the capability to expand further without major overhauls.
